Mission The Latin American Student Association (LASA) is a student-run organization that gathers not only Latin American students at Darden, but also students and faculty with any kind of interest in the Region. Ultimately, our purpose is to leverage the school’s efforts to increase the awareness of the Darden brand within the Region, primarily by strengthening the links among prospective and current students, and alumni from Latin America. This endeavor will result in an improved yield of qualified applicants, in more networking and employment opportunities for our associates, and in a closer, stronger alumni network. Additionally, LASA strives not only to be a resource for its members -especially for first years- in terms of both academic and career development support, but also to enhance Darden’s international perspective and contribute to the diversity of its student body by organizing events that showcase the mosaic of different cultures within Latin America. Among these events is the Annual LASA Conference, which represents the largest student-run event and one of the few that are part of the first-year curriculum. |
